Get to know the trainer behind Paradise Pack LLC—my experience, training philosophy, and passion for helping dogs and their families build confidence, communication, and stronger relationships.

My journey into dog training

My passion for dog training started simply from loving dogs and wanting to better understand them. Over the past 17 years, that passion has grown into a career centered around helping dogs and their families communicate, build confidence, and enjoy life together.

What I love most about training is that every dog is different. I enjoy figuring out what each individual dog needs and helping owners understand the “why” behind their dog's behavior—not just teaching commands.

One of the biggest reasons I continue doing what I do is knowing that training can make the difference between a family feeling overwhelmed and a dog being able to remain successfully in their home.

I've always said, “If I can't own every dog, I want to help every single one.”

That is the heart behind the work I do.

My training philosophy

The most important thing I want people to know is that I don't believe every dog should be trained the same way. Every dog has a different personality, history, motivation, and reason behind their behavior. I start with positive reinforcement and build from there, adjusting my training approach to fit the individual dog and their family.

My goal isn't just to teach commands. I want owners to understand why their dog is doing what they're doing, learn how to communicate clearly, stay consistent, and feel confident handling real-life situations.

Training should strengthen the relationship between you and your dog while giving both of you the tools and confidence to succeed together.

Experience & Special Skills

I bring 17 years of hands-on dog training experience, working with dogs of different ages, breeds, personalities, and behavioral needs. My experience includes puppy and basic obedience training, private and in-home lessons, behavior support, scent work, agility, real-world and public-setting training, Canine Good Citizen preparation and testing, and therapy dog preparation.

I am an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and previously served as a therapy dog evaluator. I also have years of personal experience doing therapy work with my own dog, giving me firsthand experience with both the training involved and the special relationship between a therapy dog and handler.

One of my greatest strengths is looking beyond the behavior in front of me and working to understand why a dog is behaving that way. Whether it is fear, lack of confidence, excitement, or simply a communication gap between dog and owner, I build training around the individual dog rather than using the same approach for every dog.

                                                                    Ready to work together?

Every dog is different, and finding the right training approach starts with understanding you, your dog, and your goals.

Whether you're starting with a new puppy, working through a behavior challenge, preparing for CGC or therapy work, or simply wanting a better relationship with your dog, I'd love to help.
